Flashbombs are small mechanical advices that ignite a special chemical powder concealed inside, creating a brief but very strong, blinding flash. The flahs of light escapes the body of the bomb through large lenses and blinds anyone looking at the flash when it goes off.
Players should use flashbombs as a self-defensive measure when caught and cornered by a guard. Dropping or throwing a triggered flashbomb in a way that blinds a guard can provide the player with a window of opportunity lasting a few second, to make a quick getaway and shake off the pursuing guard. If it's not entirely possible to run away, the player can also hide in the nearest concealed location and wait until the guard stops looking for him/her and resumes normal patrolling.
When using a flashbomb, please bear in mind:

- Flashbombs are incapable of harming creatures without eyes (e.g. undead}.
In-game description
Flashbomb: Found most often on the black market, these defensive devices will temporarily blind anyone looking at them when they go off. They are useless against creatures without eyes.
