Thief's Den

Welcome to this ultra-brief mission demo of The Dark Mod. Don't expect too much then you won't be disappointed - Thief's Den is just a few rooms but it is a playable, finishable game, and includes a good selection of most of the main Dark Mod features. Keep in mind that Dark Mod is still work in progress and this is reflected in the demo and menus. So, for example, voices are temporary placeholders and AI behaviour is not yet fully developed, one. You may find bugs and glitches but I hope that doesn't spoil your enjoyment too much.

On a personal note, any flaws or failings in this demo do not necessarily indicate limitations in Dark Mod's potential but just this particular demo which I originally began as a very rough accompaniment to a mission development tutorial. It was never intended for release as a playable mission but was modified into a workable game so you could have some fun at Christmas.

It has some rough edges so we considered waiting a few months to perfect it - but we knew you wanted it NOW!

Installation

Make sure you got Doom 3 installed (patched to 1.3.1) - detailed instructions on how to setup Doom 3 for TDM on your end can be found in the Installation article.
