Synopsis
Find and humiliate a rival gang leader. This mission is designed to be challenging and is not recommended for new players.
I have a score to settle.
I'm back in Bridgeport after being away in Braeden for a year. I've discovered that things have changed in the East End while I was away. And I don't like change.
The Bowley Boys and the Black Hounds used to fight over this part of town. That was good for me - I could work in both territories and they would blame each other for anything I stole. But now the Bowley Boys are taking over the area. Their boss, Sykes, has been a thorn in my side before.
And now he's gone too far.
My best informant this side of the river, Pipkin, was murdered a few weeks ago, and I've got good information that it was Sykes who did it. I can't allow that. It's hard enough to find people willing to sell to an independent like me. I'm not about to let Sykes kill one and get away with it.
It's tempting to just take Sykes out, but without him, the Bowley gang would collapse. I'll settle for destroying his reputation instead. I need to humiliate him in front of his men somehow... that will show the Hounds that he's not untouchable and he'll think twice about bothering my informants again.
There's a smuggler in the area that owes me a favour. Griedey knows the Bowley gang and I'm going to go see him for some information when it gets dark. I'll need to be careful. The Watch is paid well to ignore this area, but the Bowley Boys have their own patrols. After dark, anyone they don't recognize is in trouble.
